The play Angels in America was adapted to miniseries by the same name, starring Al Pacino, Meryl Streep and Emma Thompson, just to name some of the all-star cast, and was directed by Mike Nichols. Tony Kushner wrote the screenplay for the series. Angels in America was the winner of 5 Golden Globe Awards: Best Miniseries, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress.
Unfortunately we won't have the time to see the whole series in class (over 300 minutes!!) but we are going to watch part of it and I have the trailer available for your viewing. (see link below)
